Objective

Find out what each product on this desktop earns, month by month, and how much of it came in this year.

Intel

The figures are not estimates and not screenshots. They come from two places:

  • Stripe. Payments to the products, counted net of Stripe fees.
  • Invoices. Client work paid by bank transfer, counted net of VAT, in the month the invoice was paid. None of it went through Stripe, so nothing is counted twice.

Everything is before income tax.

The money is charged in Polish zloty and stored that way. It is shown in US dollars at one averaged rate from the National Bank of Poland (NBP, table A). At the time of writing that rate is 1 USD = 3.83 PLN. The rate in use is printed on the desktop, so every dollar figure can be converted back.

Changes in percent compare the last month that has ended with the one before it. The running month is left out: a few days of one month against all of another says nothing.

Places to visit

place address what is there
home / the total, and a search over everything below
numbers /numbers the whole thing as a stock exchange: one ticker per product, the index is the sum
products /products a profile per product, sorted by all-time revenue
trash /trash products that stopped, with what they made before they did
notes /notes how the site works and what changed, including this note

A single product has its own address too: /products#INSY jumps to insy.io, and the other tickers work the same way.

On the desk

  • A sticky note on the wallpaper lists what needs attention, worked out from the same figures: the biggest fall and the biggest rise of the last ended month, any product that sold nothing in it, and how far the running month is from the $20,000 target. The x takes it off until the tab is closed.
  • A price alert from egzchange may appear in the bottom right corner a few seconds in, with the product that rose the most. It counts as a pop-up, so turning pop-ups off in display options turns it off too.
  • The line at the bottom of the screen is the objective: the running month against the $20,000 target, with the days left.

All three stay off on a phone.

Rewards

Open home, numbers, products, trash and notes in one visit and the desktop shows mission passed. It shows once per browser.

There is no money in it for you.
